A Note on Self-Worth

“If you base your self-worth on what everyone else thinks of you, you hand all your power over to other people and become dependent on a source outside of yourself, for validation.”

I read this quote this morning and it hit home because I could totally relate. I’ve been there and I’m sure many of you have been there, too. Truly, it’s toxic and debilitating. It’s debilitating living your life walking on eggshells and making sure that your existence doesn’t offend others, that your presence doesn’t intimidate, that your point of view doesn’t frustrate and that your happiness doesn’t insult.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Take your power back. The only one who you should be worried about is Jesus—His opinion of you is the only one that matters. Put Him in first in all you do, have the courage to be disliked... It’s a difficult concept but I mean, even Jesus was disliked, for goodness sake. Love hard, even when you don’t feel like it and do good ALWAYS.

Today, I step out in faith and live my life unapologetically with good intentions and Jesus in my heart. Will you? 🌷 #infullbloom
